Symplocos racemosa bark extract is used in bowel & liver complaints, diarrhoea, ulcers, dysentery, dropsy, conjunctivitis & other eye diseases, fever, asthma & diseases of ear. It is cooling, mild astringent, alexiteric, emmenagogue, anti-inflammatory, anti-leprotic & aphrodisiac. Arrests uterine hemorrhage & abnormal secretion in menorrhagia, miscarriage, vaginal ulcers & discharges. Gargles to give firmness to spongy & bleeding gums & relaxed uvula. Lodhra extract is used for scorpion sting, blood diseases & wound healing. It is also used in plaster to promote maturation of boils and other malignant growth.
